Sablier (sah-blee-yay) is a French word meaning 'hourglass'. Our goal is for all ladies blessed with an hourglass figure to discover the confidence that comes from wearing stylish, sensual and sophisticated lingerie and apparel which provides the perfect fit and support.

The curvaceous connoisseur behind the brand is Kristy Weston. Growing up in Perth, Kristy reluctantly accepted the status quo that the beautiful lingerie and clothing she coveted were simply not available in her size. She had been measured as a 34E.

It took a move to London with her 'other' job (Kristy is a lawyer by profession) to open up a whole new world of sensual and glamorous lingerie, swimwear and clothing designed exclusively for well-endowed women. She was correctly fitted as a 32FF and introduced to brands which were dedicated to making curvaceous women look and feel gorgeous. It didn't take long before she was hooked!

Sablier was born because Kristy passionately believes that all women are entitled to lingerie, swimwear and apparel that looks stunning and feels fantastic - not just those that live in Europe. Did you know that disadvantaged Fijians get much of their clothing from second hand Australian clothes shops? Unfortunately, bras are rare in such shops, particularly in the larger cup sizes needed to suit the indigenous Fijian build. Given that a new bra costs $40 and wages range from $1.50 to $4.50 per hour, many women are forced to go braless.

In the heat and humidity, rashes, fungal infections and abscesses can occur between the breast and chest wall. Bras help by allowing circulation. The women also appreciate the dignity and support a bra provides.
